Oshkosh Business Named Wisconsin Aviation Business of the Year
MADISON, WIS. -- NewView Technologies, Inc., an aircraft maintenance
and repair station located on Wittman Regional Airport, Oshkosh,
Wis., has been named "Wisconsin Aviation Business of the Year" for
2003. The Wisconsin Aviation Trades Association -- an association
made up of flight centers and aircraft maintenance businesses --
presented the award to NewView Technologies, Inc. owners Bruce and
Rae Botterman during the annual Wisconsin Aviation Conference, March
31, at the Marriott Madison-West Hotel and Convention Center in
Madison.
NewView Technologies, Inc. was
founded in 1996, and specializes in repairing aircraft windows,
including private, corporate and regional airline aircraft.
There are only a limited number of
companies in the world performing this type of aircraft window
repair service, which can save aircraft owners tens of thousands of
dollars over the cost of replacing their windows.
As demand for aircraft maintenance
grew in the Fox Valley, NewView Technologies expanded its services
to include single-engine and light twin-engine aircraft maintenance
in 2001, and added aircraft static system, altimeter and transponder
avionics testing in 2002. The company currently operates out of four
aircraft hangars, but a fifth hangar will soon be built to
accommodate large corporate aircraft.
NewView Technologies, Inc. is a
member of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, Wittman Regional Airport
Group, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Friendship Committee,
Fox Valley Technical College Advisory Board, National Aviation
Business Association, American Society For Testing & Material, and
the Wisconsin Aviation Trades Association. In addition, Bruce
Botterman was recently appointed to the Wisconsin Airport Financing
Committee by Gov. Scott McCallum.
NewView Technologies, Inc.
president, Bruce Botterman, attended Blackhawk Technical College in
Janesville, Wis., and received his Aircraft & Powerplant Certificate
in 1966, and his Inspection Authorization in 1970. He worked
for United Airlines through 1970 when he decided to make general
aviation his career, and became part owner of a large fixed base
operation in Appleton. He began as shop manager, then later was
appointed general manager and served in that capacity until he sold
his interest in the business in 1995. Rae Botterman is vice
president and office manager of NewView Technologies, Inc.
